The first nomination is for Best Instrumental Album for A Tribute to Benny Moré, performed by the Gonzalo Rubalcaba Trio featuring Joey Calveiro and Yainer Horta. The album pays tribute to legendary Cuban composer and vocalist Benny Moré, bringing Rubalcaba’s distinctive musical language and contemporary perspective to this iconic repertoire.

Rubalcaba’s second nomination is in the Best Latin Jazz/Jazz Album category for Gonzalo Plays Pino, a project exploring the music of singer, guitarist, and composer Pino Daniele through Rubalcaba’s singular approach to jazz and improvisation.
